There are 3 ways to register in advance for RUBRIC CLEs: (1) Online registration; (2 & 3) Telephone / Fax. Online registration: Simply click the registration button on the page for the CLE you want to attend. Telephone registration: Please call 206-714-3178, and provide credit card info over the phone. Fax registration: Print & fill out registration form from online button (including credit card info), then fax to 206-400-7945.

Walk-up registrations are always welcome for in-person classes. Pre-registration ensures that you will have a full set of materials sent to you in advance.

Refund Policy

Call 206.714.3178 or email Rubricllc [AT] comcast [DOT] net up to 24 hours prior to the CLE, and we'll give you a full refund. After that time, refunds only for cause (up to the time of the CLE only), but amounts paid will cheerfully be credited to an upcoming seminar within one year of your registration date. Registrations may also be transferred to other persons upon email notification to Rubric. THANK-YOU!

“One Nation, under God, indivisible . . .?” Memorized by most American school children even before they understand the words, the Pledge of Allegiance has frequently been the subject of controversy and litigation. We will examine the history of the Pledge, and measure its constitutionality under the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of expression, protection against establishment of religion, and free exercise of religion. Then we will consider how treatment of the Pledge has changed over time, and the limits of law in protecting minority rights against overwhelmingly popular support for the pledge.
